How do you see the future? Do you hope to return to Gaza?

For now, I am staying in Doha. I have a family. The priority is to settle in a place with good living conditions, with access to a reliable health system and schools. But I intend to return alone to Gaza to continue covering the war. This is my people, this is my country, and I still have my home here. I did not leave it by choice, but to save my family. So, I miss them.

Too many people are dying every day in Gaza. Men, women, children… Far too many people. Enough is enough. I hope one day to return home, to a country at peace, to live a quiet life with my family. Like everyone else.

Are you still in touch with your colleagues?

Yes, of course. I am in contact with them all the time. Some nights I barely sleep a few hours because I spend my time following what is happening, trying to help as much as I can. I send e -sims so they have access to the Internet, I give them advice, ideas… I follow them constantly.

I am also in contact with my colleagues from other media outlets and my slovenia phone number library friends in the West Bank. One of my relatives is a correspondent for Al Jazeera there. He was in Gaza and now he is based in Ramallah. I have visited the West Bank several times, I have friends and family there. The situation there is not so different from Gaza, after all. In some cities, there are also Palestinians who are dying from gunfire or bombs.

Coming back to your photos, which one from your portfolio

I have several photographs that are quite eloquent. The image of the solution make your cta specific concise explosion that happened right next to our offices, I find it quite powerful. The two men carrying a wounded man in the Netzarim corridor, with the Israeli tanks just behind, I find it, too, quite powerful.

But if I had to choose just one, I would take the one of the mother alb directory with her children at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Many people were arriving at the emergency room at the same time, we only had a minute or two to take pictures, before the hospital staff put us outside so they could take care of the injured. It is a sad image, but it is a human image.
